QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Valid Class A CDL license with proven experience
Motivated and dependable
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and willing to be subjected to random drug tests
Clean driving record
Demonstrated ability to load and unload freight safely
Prior experience working in agricultural setting is a plus, but not a requirement, as well as possessing some mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance
Comfortable driving manual transmission trucks over long distances and through diverse road conditions
Ability to neatly fill out Bill-of-Ladings for each load hauled
Must live within 100 mile radius of Wibaux or be willing to re-locate
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers (hopper) to transport feed/grain efficiently across various routes, mainly in Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota, occasionally traveling into South Dakota and sometimes Wyoming
Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight to/from hopper bottom trailer
Transport feed, grain, seed from feed mill to farms/ranches and also grain transport from farm to elevator/feed mill
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues during transit
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, load details, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations
Full-time time position, working typically Monday - Friday; occasionally might include a Saturday. Trucks are equipped with sleepers as you'd likely be overnight one to three nights per week.
$55,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on experience.
