Join our Packaging Engineering team at Raytheon, where you'll design safe, ergonomic, and innovative custom packaging solutions that enhance our manufacturing process, material handling, and product delivery.
As a Packaging Engineer, you will develop and maintain detailed packaging instructions for various components and products like radars and antenna assemblies. Utilize cutting-edge computer-aided design (CAD) technology to create 3D models and technical drawings. Manage all aspects of design, documentation, procurement, and integration of packaging solutions in a complex manufacturing environment. Oversee projects from conception through implementation, ensuring safety, ergonomics, and error-proofing are at the forefront.

What You Will Do
Support multiple major production programs, by creating and maintaining work instructions for the packaging and shipment of end items, design, and detailing of special material handling equipment and shipping containers utilizing CREO design software.
Determine adequate packaging for incoming hardware, supporting various products and upper-level assemblies.
Oversee projects from development to implementation and strive to incorporate safe, ergonomic, error-proofed, and innovative solutions into the factory.
Develop and maintain special packaging instructions and drawings meeting Military and Best Commercial standards.
Create package designs using 3D CAD for protective cushioned packs, corrugated and wood designs, and vacuum formed plastics.
Team with Product, Manufacturing and Logistics Engineering along with Traffic, Safety and EHS to ensure deliverables are achieved on time and with value
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Preferred majors are: Packaging and Mechanical Engineering
Experience with manufacturing methodology
Experience with packaging design systems
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
