GDIT is seeking a highly motivated Agile Lead/ Technical Deputy Program Manager with Systems Architect expertise who can guide Agile delivery teams while simultaneously providing senior-level technical leadership across enterprise systems. This hybrid role ensures that Agile execution aligns with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer's technical, security, and modernization objectives, serving as both a delivery leader and a trusted architecture advisor. This role partners closely with TSA stakeholders, engineering teams, cybersecurity, and program leadership to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with both technical and mission objectives.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
Support the Program Manager in day-to-day oversight of scope, schedule, cost, staffing, and risk management
Act as the PM's delegate for internal and external communications, customer engagement, and leadership briefings
Assist with program governance, performance reporting, and compliance with TSA and DHS program management processes
Coordinate with cross-functional leads (architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, engineering) to ensure cohesive program execution
Serve as Agile Lead for one or more II Agile teams and ensure consistent application of Agile and SAFe practices
Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlogs are well-prioritized, technically aligned, and mission-driven
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives
Monitor team health, delivery velocity, and impediments, ensuring timely resolution and transparent communication
Support coordination and integration across multiple Agile teams to enable cohesive incremental delivery
Coach government stakeholders and team members on Agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
Lead development of enterprise and solution architectures supporting TSA digital modernization, cloud adoption, and cybersecurity initiatives
Conduct architecture reviews, feasibility assessments, and technical evaluations to guide decision-making
Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring design and implementation align with TSA/DHS architectural standards
Work directly with TSA technical stakeholders to translate mission needs into scalable and resilient technical solutions
Serve as a senior advisor on technology strategies, modernization pathways, and emerging technologies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
U.S. Citizenship and must have or able to obtain TSA Public Trust
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT or related field and 20+ years' experience
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and get consensus to deliver customer requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and oversee project execution
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of interfacing with senior government leadership
Experience supporting federal modernization initiatives. TSA or DHS-specific technical domain experience
Adept at problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, time management, multi-tasking, and task-ownership
Proven record as a self-learner, keeping current with the latest tools and techniques
Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, SCRUM, or Kanban Methods
Location: Remote. Ability to attend meetings at the TSA facilities and field sites
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in DevSecOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
Experience with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps

The likely salary range for this position is $187,000 - $253,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
