Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Summer Engineering Intern - Manufacturing Operations to join their team. As a Summer Engineering Intern, you will be part of the Engineering and Operations teams supporting dairy processing and manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Summer Engineering Intern - Manufacturing Operations

Location: San Leandro, CA

Pay Range: $30.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 7am - 4pm

What's the Job?

Support engineering and operations teams with daily manufacturing activities, including equipment troubleshooting and process observations

Assist in executing continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability

Collect, analyze, and summarize production and process data to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement

Participate in root cause analysis for equipment downtime, quality deviations, or process inefficiencies

Help update documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering drawings

What's Needed?

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

Completed at least sophomore year by the start of the internship

Strong interest in manufacturing, food & beverage, or industrial operations

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
