Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

This role focuses on the construction, repair, and refurbishment of mobile office trailers. You will perform hands-on work such as basic plumbing, electrical tasks, carpentry, patching, painting, and installing interior components like furniture and electrical fixtures. The position requires a practical, solutions-oriented individual who can work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Assist in the construction, repair, and refurbishment of mobile office trailers from start to finish.

Perform light plumbing tasks, including basic installation, repair, and maintenance of fixtures and connections within trailers.

Carry out basic electrical work, such as installing and connecting electrical components and ensuring safe, functional setups.

Complete carpentry tasks, including framing, trim work, and other structural or interior repairs as needed.

Perform drywall work, including hanging, patching, taping, and finishing to prepare surfaces for painting.

Patch, sand, and paint interior and exterior trailer surfaces to achieve a clean, professional appearance.

Install and secure furniture, fixtures, and other interior components inside mobile office trailers.

Use tape measures and hand tools accurately to cut, fit, and assemble materials according to specifications.

Support home remodel-style and handyman-@type tasks related to trailer refurbishment and maintenance.

Perform facility and property maintenance tasks related to the trailer yard or work area as needed.

Communicate effectively with customers, sales staff, contractors, shop personnel, and team members at various branch locations to coordinate work and resolve issues.

Work independently to manage daily tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects.

Follow safety procedures at all times, including the proper use of tools, equipment, and required protective footwear and clothing.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and materials are stored properly after use.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
