Job Title: Shipping Associate (12:00 PM - 8:30 PM)
Job Description
The Shipping Associate supports daily warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer and stock orders for distribution. Working under direct supervision, this role handles material movement, order assembly, and documentation using warehouse systems while maintaining a safe and organized work area.
Responsibilities
Generate shipping manifests for dispatch and confirm customer and stock orders in accordance with established procedures.
Interpret warehouse documents to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage or processing locations.
Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins following a pre-determined sequence or layout.
Prepare products for internal distribution within the facility, ensuring items are properly staged and labeled.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place completed orders on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping areas.
Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products under direct supervision and within established guidelines.
Arrange stock parts in specified sequences to support assembly work performed by other team members.
Create and enter accurate manifest records into the warehouse computer system.
Follow safety procedures at all times while working around forklifts, hand carts, and other warehouse equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support fast-paced warehouse operations.
Essential Skills
Fluent English communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak clearly.
Up to 0-6 months of warehouse experience, with willingness to learn and follow established processes.
Ability to perform material handling tasks such as picking, packing, shipping, and auditing orders.
Comfort using basic warehouse documentation and interpreting order and inventory information.
Capability to enter and update data accurately in a warehouse computer system.
Strong attention to detail to ensure correct items are picked, packed, and shipped.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
No prior certification required; training and certification on CROWN trucks will be provided upon permanent hire.
Previous experience in material handling, shipping, or order picking and packing is an asset, but not mandatory.
Willingness to follow structured guidelines and work under direct supervision.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support different warehouse tasks as needed.

Work Environment
This role operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move frequently in clearly defined, safety-conscious directions. The facility is non-climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The position follows a 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM schedule and requires consistent awareness of surroundings to work safely around equipment and other team members. Cellphones and personal electronics are not permitted in the warehouse to maintain safety and focus. Appropriate footwear such as sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes is required to meet safety and protection standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $13.00/hr.
