Job Title: Medical Device Manufacturing Technician (Catheter Assembly)
Job Description
This role focuses on the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices, including catheter products, using microscopes and specialized production tools in a cleanroom environment. You will follow established procedures, perform precise assembly and inspection tasks, and work closely with engineering and supervisory teams to ensure products meet strict quality and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Manufacture medical devices, including catheter assemblies, using a microscope and appropriate tools and equipment.
Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance requirements, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and all applicable safety requirements.
Successfully complete training on production tasks and apply that training consistently to daily work.
Interpret and use travelers/routers to understand work orders, identify correct materials, and track product through the manufacturing process.
Operate production and inspection tools and equipment, including microscopes, EFD dispensers, UV curing systems, and other specialized devices, and complete all required documentation accurately.
Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspections to ensure products meet defined specifications and quality standards.
Conduct in-process inspection activities to verify workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices, documenting findings in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
Work directly with engineers and supervisors to maintain product integrity and quality at all times, escalating issues as needed.
Collaborate with engineers to develop, refine, and update process documentation to support manufacturing and inspection activities.
Perform inventory counts and assist with material control and tracking as needed.
Use required safety equipment when performing lab and cleanroom work and follow all safety protocols.
Receive and follow verbal instructions regarding daily duties and production priorities.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or relevant prototyping experience.
Prior experience with medical device assembly, particularly under a microscope.
Experience performing catheter assembly or working with catheter products (strongly preferred).
Demonstrated ability to work in a cleanroom environment and follow cleanroom protocols.
Proficiency in following Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance processes, Work Instructions, and production drawings.
Ability to understand and perform in-process inspections to ensure workmanship and quality of medical devices.
Experience using microscopes for assembly and inspection tasks with strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills.
Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Ability to operate production and inspection tools and equipment, including EFD dispensers and UV curing systems.
Experience working with adhesives, including different @types of Loctite, in a manufacturing @context.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with engineers, supervisors, and team members.
Comfort using required safety equipment and adhering to safety procedures in lab and cleanroom environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing catheter products is a plus.
Background in medical device manufacturing operations, including production and inspection activities.
Ability to interpret travelers/routers and identify appropriate materials for each build.
Experience contributing to or supporting the development of process documentation with engineering teams.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both assembly work and documentation.
Ability to adapt to verbal instructions and changing production priorities.
Willingness to work across different shifts and schedules as needed to support production demands.

Work Environment
This position is based in a cleanroom manufacturing environment focused on medical device and catheter production. You will work with microscopes, EFD dispensers, UV curing systems, adhesives such as Loctite, and other specialized production and inspection tools. Multiple shifts are available: 1st shift (with start times around 5:00 a.m., 5:30 a.m., or 6:00 a.m.), 2nd shift from approximately 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a 5% shift differential, and 3rd shift from approximately 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Monday night through Saturday morning) with a 10% shift differential. Candidates for 3rd shift must be open to training on 1st or 2nd shift for up to two weeks. The role requires adherence to cleanroom protocols, use of appropriate safety equipment, and compliance with all safety and quality procedures throughout daily operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
