Immediate Opening for Marketing Research Manager* Permanent Position
The Marketing Research Manager leads the full lifecycle of clinical trial participant recruitment marketing, from campaign strategy and budget allocation through lead generation, performance optimization, and reporting. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of marketing, data, and clinical operations, with direct responsibility for managing campaigns across multiple paid and organic channels, overseeing lead management workflows, and driving measurable improvements in participant scheduling and enrollment rates. You will be the first dedicated marketing resource embedded in a high-volume clinical research operation that currently generates more than 3,000 leads per month across seven or more sources, and you will play a key role in improving trial enrollment and supporting the growth of the clinical research program.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end marketing campaign management for clinical trial participant recruitment across all channels, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), PatientsVIP, Accelerate Recruitment, social media, organic website traffic, and other digital sources.
Develop and execute campaign strategies that align with clinical trial enrollment goals, site capacity, and overall research program objectives.
Plan, launch, monitor, and optimize paid campaigns by study, site, and geography to maximize qualified lead volume and improve scheduling conversion rates.
Manage campaign creative, audience targeting, and budget pacing in partnership with external vendors and internal teams.
Collaborate closely with external partners such as digital marketing vendors and recruitment platforms to ensure campaigns meet performance and quality expectations.
Establish and maintain a systematic campaign review process to regularly evaluate performance across all channels.
Identify underperforming campaigns, such as those with conversion rates below 3% at 50 or more leads, and recommend pausing, revising, or reallocating budget as needed.
Scale and expand high-performing campaigns, including those achieving conversion rates of 6% or higher, to maximize impact on participant enrollment.
Coordinate with site managers and research coordinators to align campaign launches and adjustments with study enrollment timelines and site capacity constraints.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of marketing experience with direct campaign management responsibility, including ownership of campaign budgets.
Proven experience managing paid digital marketing campaigns on platforms such as Meta (Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads), Google Ads, or similar advertising platforms with measurable performance outcomes.
Hands-on experience with CRM or marketing automation platforms, with a preference for HubSpot; experience with Salesforce, Marketo, or similar systems is also acceptable.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in environments that bridge marketing, data analysis, and clinical or healthcare operations.
Familiarity with patient engagement strategies and tactics to improve participation in clinical research.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including clinical research staff and site managers.
Comfort presenting campaign results and recommendations using tools such as PowerPoint or similar presentation software.
Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously.
Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement in marketing performance.
Work Environment
This role operates in a remote work environment, providing flexibility in location while supporting a high-volume clinical research operation. You will collaborate virtually with site managers, research coordinators, and external vendors, using digital tools, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms to manage campaigns and track performance. The position emphasizes data-driven decision-making, regular communication with cross-functional teams, and coordinated planning to align marketing efforts with clinical trial enrollment needs and site capacity.
