The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Sr. Network Administrator to join our Information Technology division at System Office. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the data centers and network resources at the community colleges' and System Office's campuses. If you want an opportunity to work on a wide variety of network technology, this position may be for you!

CCCS-IT is a 24x7 working environment. Some evening and weekend work may be required on an as-needed basis.
All interviews for this position will be hosted in person at our office in Denver, Colorado. Travel reimbursement to the interviews is not available. All work for this role must be completed in the state of Colorado; relocation expenses are not available for this position.
Duties include...
Configures, manages, monitors, and maintains data center resources. Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems using Live Action and other network and device troubleshooting/monitoring applications and tools. Develops and maintains procedures to insure the integrity and usability of the Data Center Network/System resources.
Monitors the performance and use of Data Center system resources by analyzing performance metrics and making appropriate modifications to the Network or System parameters to insure integrity and to optimize the performance.
Configures network & system hardware/software so that ongoing system, network, and Internet access is granted and stable, reliable, and at peak performance. Configures Network and System resources so that access is allowed to only those resources that we choose to provide access.
Develops and implements Cisco Routers, Data Center switches, and QoS. Designs, implements, and manages complex routing architectures using OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and IS-IS protocols. Architects and deploys Cisco SD-WAN (Catalyst SD-WAN) solutions across distributed enterprise environments. Deploys, configures, and manages Cisco Meraki MS-series switches across enterprise and branch locations. Manages Meraki MR wireless access points, SSIDs, RF profiles, and client roaming policies.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Bachelor's degree in an information technology-related field or with an emphasis in technology. Relevant education/experience in the appropriate technical and management areas may substitute year-for-year for the required bachelor's degree.
Two years of experience with current industry technologies that include enterprise class Cisco Routers, Switches, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, and Meraki MS Switches.

Excellent Interpersonal, oral communication, and negotiation skills necessary to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with faculty committees, campus and college administrators, campus departmental stakeholders, permitting agencies, budget and funding authorities, architectural and engineering consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds including college personnel, the public, and vendors.
Ability to contribute as a team player and promote a respectful and professional working environment within and across teams.
Work Location/Travel Expectations:
The office for this position is located at 1059 Alton Way, Denver, CO 80230.
CCCS-IT supports a 24x7 work environment. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Travel to off-site data centers and community colleges may be required.
Alternative Work Arrangements, including flexible schedules and hybrid-remote work, may be available. All work must be completed in the state of Colorado.
