THE POSITION
As a Clerical Assistant 2 with the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will be part of a team that keeps Elk State Forest operations moving forward. This position allows you to make a real difference by supporting schedules, records, and daily office needs. You will contribute to essential office operations that keep the district on track. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position helps the Elk State Forest District Office operate smoothly by supporting staff with scheduling, records, and administrative tasks. Your work ensures that daily processes run correctly and efficiently. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
Administrative Support:Assist district staff by preparing schedules, records, and office documents
Personnel Coordination:Maintain personnel files and help process hiring, separation, and other staffing documents
Timekeeping Duties:Manage employee attendance, leave records, and payroll-related information with accuracy
Record Management:Maintain organized databases and files for timber sales, equipment, and office operations
Employee Assistance:Provide guidance on procedures, forms, and documentation needed for daily work activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Emporium, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
Graduation from high school; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
