As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Tacoma, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this role, you will support access awareness, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.95 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.

Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, while following post orders, visitor procedures, and applicable location protocols.

Support public-facing operations by giving directions, answering routine questions, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or policy-related issues through appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
