Summary About the Position: This is a Program Analyst position, GS-0343-09 Target Grade 11 with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District. This position is located in West Point, NY Position will be filled at the GS-9 grade level with promotion potential to the higher-grade GS-11. GS-9 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Gather data related to program or budget activities for use in analysis; 2) track financial transactions to ensure they follow established procedures; 3) prepare basic reports that summarize program or financial information; and 4) communicate with team members or other offices to collect or clarify information needed for assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-7). Selectee will be required to complete 52 weeks before being promoted to the next higher grade level. This position has promotion potential to the higher-grade GS-11 when requirements have been completed and when recommended by management.
