Our client, in consumer-packaged goods industry is seeking an Associate Category Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have team playing, organization and manufacturing experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Associate Category Engineer

Location: Chicago ( Cicero/Little Village area **)

Contract: 3 Months** (extension possible)

Pay Range: $22 - $30 hourly

Shift: Mon - Fri 7a - 3:30pm

What's the Job?

As part of the category engineering team, you will be working in the factory where famous mayonnaise is made! This role will be part of the team responsible for testing and qualifying any changes made to the product (Formulation and packaging).

Think critically into how certain product changes can impact the factory and assist in evaluating necessary investments and development of the business case.

Analyze risk and make critical decisions that will directly affect factory performance

Assist in evaluating investments necessary to bring in various changes to the factory and in communicating with the broader team

Collaborate with different functions of the business (Operations, WCM, R&D, Procurement, Planning) and align on different execution plans to ensure excellent project execution

What's Needed?

Pursuing or recently obtained an undergraduate degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Controls/Automation Engineering (Open to adjacent degrees such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.)

Commitment to the role from May 2026 to August 2026

Co-Op or internship experience in FMCG/CPG.

Manufacturing experience a plus, but not required
