General Laborer - 2nd Shift 2:30-11pm Potential OT
Job Description
This 2nd shift General Laborer position supports a fast-paced door manufacturing operation by performing a variety of hands-on production tasks. You will work on a conveyor-based system, using hand and power tools to grind, deburr, assemble, and prepare products for painting and finishing while maintaining consistent quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Perform general labor tasks in a door manufacturing environment on a conveyor-@type production system.
Use hand tools and power tools to grind, deburr, sand, and prepare parts for further processing.
Assist with assembly tasks, ensuring components are aligned, secured, and meet quality expectations.
Support paint preparation activities, including sanding, masking, and cleaning parts prior to painting.
Operate or assist with spray guns, paint booths, and related equipment as needed for production.
Load and unload materials, parts, and finished products safely and efficiently.
Follow standard operating procedures and production instructions to meet daily output goals.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
Collaborate with team members and remain open to cross-training in multiple production tasks.
Support other areas of the facility as needed to keep production flowing in a fast-paced environment.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and report any issues or hazards to supervision promptly.
Essential Skills
Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
Experience performing general production or general labor tasks in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools for grinding, deburring, sanding, and assembly.
Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment on a conveyor-@type system.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials and products as required by the role.
Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality for 2nd shift work.
Openness to cross-training and supporting multiple functions within the facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
Experience in deburring, grinding, and sanding metal or similar materials.
Familiarity with paint preparation processes, including paint prep, sanding, and masking.
Exposure to spray guns, paint booths, or industrial painting operations.
Comfort working on a production line or conveyor-based system.
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist coworkers as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
