Medical Assistant - Cardiology (Make a Real Impact Every Day)Be Part of a Team That Keeps Hearts Healthy

In this role, you'll be a hands-on clinical partner to cardiologists and nurses-helping deliver high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care in a dynamic outpatient setting.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our clinical team, you will:

Create a positive patient experience - greet patients, gather medical histories, and ensure they feel comfortable and cared for

Lead patient intake and rooming - take vitals, prepare patients for exams, and assist with procedures

Support specialized cardiology care - perform EKGs and assist with stress testing and other diagnostic procedures

Document with precision - accurately record patient data in the electronic health record (EHR) system

Assist with clinical decision flow - support triage by prioritizing patient needs and communicating with providers

Keep the day running smoothly - collaborate with the care team to maintain patient flow and minimize wait times

Adapt quickly - step into a busy environment and contribute from day one

Stay flexible - occasionally travel to nearby offices to support patient care

What You Bring

Experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) - 1+ years preferred (motivated entry-level candidates considered)

Strong understanding of clinical workflows in an outpatient setting

Experience with EHR systems and accurate clinical documentation

Ability to perform EKGs and support basic triage activities

A detail-oriented, team-focused mindset

Ability to stay organized and efficient in a high-volume environment

Bonus Qualifications

CMA or RMA certification

Prior cardiology or specialty practice experience

Experience assisting with stress testing

Proven ability to hit the ground running

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
