The position involves regular travel within a two-hour driving radius and offers uncapped commission based on successful partner conversions.
Responsibilities
Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance to identify and engage potential delivery partners.
Present and pitch the new delivery partner program to prospective businesses in a clear and compelling way to generate interest and encourage them to apply.
Qualify prospective businesses based on defined criteria and guide them step by step through the application process to ensure accurate and timely completion.
Lead and track sales and recruitment activity in a customer relationship management (CRM) system, using Salesforce to manage and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.
Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall-style meetings.
Partner with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and expand outreach.
Import and update Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure data accuracy and visibility into recruitment progress.
Conduct outbound follow-up activities, including calls and messages, to nurture leads, answer questions, and move prospects through the funnel from application to launch.
Collaborate closely with teammates to share insights from the field, refine outreach strategies, and continuously improve the recruitment process.
Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners, addressing questions, resolving issues in the field, and helping them navigate any obstacles in the application or onboarding process.
Maintain a high sense of urgency and professionalism while managing multiple prospects, deadlines, and administrative tasks.
Contribute to raising the bar for the delivery experience by helping bring high-quality partners into the program, particularly in complex last-mile delivery scenarios.
Essential Skills
At least 2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service roles.
Proven outside or field sales experience, including face-to-face prospecting and relationship building.
Hands-on experience using a customer relationship management (CRM) system; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to conduct prospecting activities, including outbound calls and proactive outreach, to build and manage a sales pipeline.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain program details clearly and handle questions or objections effectively.
Experience in roles involving sales and/or negotiation with customers, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close commitments.
High level of professionalism, including reliable follow-through, strong work ethic, and polished interactions with business owners and community partners.
Enthusiasm for working with others in a collaborative environment and willingness to support teammates and a Field Manager.
Strong sense of urgency, with the ability to prioritize tasks, respond quickly to opportunities, and move prospects through the process efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems for applicants in the field, including resolving application or technical issues.
Tech-savvy mindset with experience working with multiple systems and technology, such as CRM platforms, spreadsheets, and mobile tools.
Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately four hours round-trip on a daily basis to cover assigned territories.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual abilities are a plus and can help build rapport with a broader range of local business owners.
Additional experience in field sales beyond the minimum requirement is beneficial, particularly in business development, account management, or outside sales roles.
Prior experience generating and managing referrals through community organizations, chambers of commerce, or similar groups is advantageous.
Experience in outbound prospecting, including cold calling and door-to-door sales, is highly valued.
Comfort working with Excel and other spreadsheet tools to organize data and support reporting.
Strong organizational skills and self-discipline to manage an 80/20 split between field work and at-home follow-up or administrative tasks.
Motivation to work in a performance-driven environment with uncapped commission opportunities tied to partner applications and successful launches.
