Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join a law office in Akron, Ohio in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This in-office position supports two attorneys and offers a strong opportunity to contribute across both litigation and general legal matters. The ideal candidate brings solid experience with court filings, document preparation, and case coordination while working effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case materials for two attorneys.

Manage electronic filing submissions with courts and ensure all filings are completed accurately and on time.

Coordinate litigation support activities, including discovery tracking, document collection, and deadline follow-up.

Maintain attorney calendars by scheduling hearings, meetings, and other case-related commitments.

Assist with drafting pleadings, notices, and other legal documents based on attorney direction, including occasional dictation support.

Monitor case progress and keep files updated so matters remain organized and accessible.

Communicate with courts, clients, and outside parties regarding filings, schedules, and case documentation. Requirements - Prior experience working in a paralegal or legal assistant role within a law office environment.

Hands-on knowledge of electronic court filing procedures and related documentation requirements.

Familiarity with civil litigation processes, including discovery and court deadline management.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple matters for more than one attorney.

Experience maintaining calendars and coordinating legal schedules with accuracy.

Clear written and verbal communication skills in a detail-oriented legal setting.
