Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal level Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist. This position is in support of the Sentinel Program aka Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) contract. The purpose of the Program is to replace the current ICBM system, including the weapon systems command and control; flight, launch and ground systems; and cyber elements. This position will be located in Roy, UT . This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications below.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end subcontracting activities, inclusive of Request for Proposal creation based on Program and Customer requirements, proposal analysis, source selection, negotiation or pricing/terms and conditions, creation of award and modification justification packages compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations and Company PrOPs, supplier management and formal subcontract closeout.
Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.
Performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations.
Basic Qualifications
This position may be filled at a Principal level or Senior Principal level
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5 years industry experience; 3 years with a Master's degree; or 9 years of related experience may be accepted with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree (Sr Principal level requires 8 years with a bachelor's degree; 6 with a Master's degree; or 12 years with a HS diploma)
Requires experience with Microsoft Office Applications
Experience with processing supplier invoices according to agreed payment terms
Experience providing accurate invoice and accrual forecasting
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active in-scope Secret Security Clearance
Experience with SAP
Experience in supporting all aspects of subcontract management from subcontract award through contract closeout process
Experience supporting procurement function
Strong organizational skills
Problem solving aptitude to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
Ability to contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals
Ability to represent organization on specific projects
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
