Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Analyst
Astronics Subsidiary Corporate
Location East Aurora, NY
Description
Join the Astronics team as a Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Functional Analyst !
Take your career to new heights
Astronics is seeking a motivated Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Analyst to join our growing Business Systems team. As we embark on an exciting multi-year D365 F&O transformation across our global locations in government cloud, you will play a key role in helping us build internal ERP expertise, support our implementation partner, and position Astronics for long-term D365 success.
This is a unique opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a large-scale ERP journey - with two initial go-lives on the horizon and eleven+ more implementations to follow, the growth potential in this role is significant.
What you'll do:
Are you a D365 F&O professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building something from the ground up? At Astronics, you will serve as our internal D365 F&O Functional Analyst, embedded within a team of IT professionals working alongside our external implementation partner. You will bring your hands-on D365 expertise to support our seasoned Business Analysts in configuring Finance and Supply Chain modules, help transfer knowledge to our internal team, and grow into a key driver of our remaining eleven site rollouts.
This is not a vendor management role - it is a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up position where your functional knowledge of D365 F&O will directly shape how Astronics builds and sustains its ERP capability for years to come.
This role is hybrid, based out of Buffalo, New York, with some travel required to support go-live activities on the West coast, as well as internationally.
Your role will encompass:
D365 F&O Functional Configuration & Support, including integration of customized solutions to meet specific business requirements.
Support the configuration and testing of D365 F&O Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Budgeting
Support Supply Chain Management modules including Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Production Control
Work alongside seasoned Business Analysts and our external implementation partner to configure, validate, and refine D365 F&O solutions.
Participate in fit-gap analysis sessions, solution design reviews, and configuration workshops, ensuring support for multiple languages based on deployment.
Contribute to reporting and analytics advisory by helping define functional reporting requirements, collaborating with BI teams, and ensuring that critical financial and operational data is accurately represented within D365 and integrated reporting platforms.
Apply and maintain Astronics' internal security framework standards within the D365 F&O environment
Document configurations, functional specifications, and process flows to build lasting internal knowledge
Business Analysis and Stakeholder Collaboration
Translate business requirements from Finance and Operations stakeholders into functional D365 F&O configurations and solutions
Collaborate closely with internal Business Analysts, Project Managers, and IT team members across the project team
Serve as an internal D365 knowledge resource, helping upskill team members as the program progresses
Implementation and Project Delivery
Actively participate in the end-to-end implementation of D365 F&O across the first two go-live locations - Seattle, WA and France site
Support UAT planning, test script development, data migration validation, and go-live readiness/cutover activities across implementation sites
Assist in loading data and troubleshooting data migration issues alongside the Migration Tech Lead, helping identify data quality and load errors and working with the team to resolve them in a timely manner
Help establish internal implementation playbooks and best practices to prepare the team for the eleven subsequent site rollouts
Participate actively in the Change Advisory Board and contribute to the development of steady-state support processes to ensure a sustainable post-implementation environment.
Adhere to established SDLC, change management, and quality control standards
Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Building
Proactively learn from our external implementation partner and bring that knowledge back into the internal team
Identify opportunities to improve system configuration, business processes, and user adoption
Support internal team members in understanding data migration processes, file load procedures, and basic troubleshooting within D365 F&O, contributing to a growing internal capability as we scale across remaining implementation sites
Support the development of training materials, SOPs, and functional documentation
Assist in managing enhancements and support tickets post go-live
