Human Resources Project Management Co-op Fall 2026

Position Summary MassDOT is seeking a highly organized and motivated Human Resources Project Management Co-Op to support key HR initiatives. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public sector human resources, with a focus on project coordination, process improvement, and workforce development. The Co-Op will work under the guidance of the HR Program Director and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects that enhance the employee experience, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the coordination and execution of HR projects, including process improvements, change management efforts, and initiatives aligned with MassDOT's strategic plan Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools and internal systems Support the development of reports, presentations, and data analyses related to HR programs and initiatives Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and document meeting notes and action items Collaborate with HR staff and departments across MassDOT to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables Support compliance efforts by maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with state guidelines About MassDOT The 4,000 employees of Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) takes great pride in connecting the Commonwealth's residents and communities.
