Welder (MIG/TIG) - Fabrication and Manufacturing
Job Description
This role involves performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals in a machine shop environment. You will read and interpret blueprints, set up and operate welding equipment, and ensure all welds meet quality and specification requirements while working collaboratively with a close-knit team.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and fabrication details.
Set up and operate welding equipment, adjusting settings for different materials, thicknesses, and weld @types.
Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications and manufacturing standards.
Fabricate components and assemblies according to blueprints and production requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects on time and to required specifications.
Handle and move materials and components, including lifting up to 50 lbs without assistance as needed for daily tasks.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG welding on materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Proficiency in TIG welding on a variety of metals.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Experience in metal fabrication within a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Ability to set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting parameters for different materials and thicknesses.
Strong attention to detail to inspect and verify weld quality and adherence to specifications.
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
Hands-on fabrication experience, including fitting and assembling components.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other departments.
Willingness and ability to grow into machining responsibilities over time.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
