Summary About the Position: Performs direct and general support maintenance of a wide variety of operational aircraft avionics electronic systems, equipment, and related devices. Responsibilities inspects and tests equipment to analyze and pinpoint maintenance problems of highly complex equipment systems. Effects precise timing of radio frequencies, antenna range, power supplies, signal strength, and proper receiver sensitivity Adjusts or replaces defective parts. Sometimes required to lift and carry items weighing more than 50 pounds with the help of weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers. The work requires frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping. Climbing and working in high places may also be required. Some work may require the aid of magnifying lenses, eye loops, and microscopes to accomplish repairs on miniature components WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is usually performed inside. May work in aircraft and outside where exposed to all @types of weather. Periodically required to ride in rotary wing aircraft. Subject to cuts, bruises, scrapes, broken bones, and serious burns.
