As a the Market Lead for Test Products at The Modal Shop, you will lead a small team of customer facing personnel including product managers, business development managers, sales specialists and application engineers, with the express purpose of strategic sales growth and responsibility for global sales and marketing activities driving this growth.
The Modal Shop Test Products portfolio includes a full offering of vibration, acoustic, and pressure sensor calibration system solutions, a broad line of electrodynamic shaker products for modal analysis and vibration control applications, dynamic digital sensing and measurement products, and related accessories.
Additional Duties:
Take an active role and drive daily product group activities. Lead business development targeting annual double-digit revenue growth.
Manage, mentor and develop product team members - assign responsibilities, set priorities and goals, conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and career development, and ensure the team has the resources and training needed to meet objectives.
Provide monthly sales forecasts.
Present quarterly progress toward goals and annual business growth strategy(s).
Develop product group internal sales activities, processes and technologies to organize, streamline and execute department efforts to meet company goals and guidelines.
Coordinate global sales opportunities with PCB International Team, any appropriate PCB Channel team members, direct sales engineers/offices, all distributors, reps and end customers.
Develop key account sales plans where appropriate for global or multi-facility corporate opportunities, where appropriate.
Identify and interact with key decision makers within customer organizations.
Lead Product Team to complete Cost Estimate and Justification form to facilitate development of NMI (New Model Initiation) for any new product to be quoted.
Complete product and marketing research, assess competitor products and collaborate with Product and Engineering Team(s) for new product development, utilizing DIS (Design Input Specification) process.
Work with Product and Marketing Team(s) to develop product collateral, including manuals, data sheets, web content, newsletters, application notes and other marketing materials.
Provides general sales support and phone coverage for customers when needed.
Conduct e quipment and technical training, including customer and technical seminars.
Ensure members of product group team provide rapid response to phone, email or web inquiry requests.
Responds to a wide range of customer inquiries. Drafts correspondence, presentation and detailed sales proposal to customers.
Attend technical tradeshows, professional society meetings, author and present as needed to support general product group and strategic selling opportunities.
Lead strategic sales effort and customer mapping process. Helps coordinate product group team activities to ensure optimum communication, scheduling and team work.
Understand and use MSQS. Generate QC/OI from feedback from internal and external customers.
Perform other related duties as assigned or needed for the efficient operation of the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Four year technical degree.
Experience: 10 plus years of strategic and consultive selling experience. A proven track-record to lead a team, facilitate YOY business growth, develop new customers and sell at a corporate
level.
Travel Requirement: Travel up to 50% of the time as needed, domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry experience in the areas of Sound and Vibration is preferred.
