Description

A manufacturing company in Stamford, CT is seeking a motivated and energetic Sales Development Representative / Inside Sales Associate to support business growth through outbound prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, and customer outreach. This role is responsible for identifying potential customers, introducing company products and services, and helping build a strong sales pipeline for our manufacturing operations. We offer a competitive base salary + commissions and company benefits. The ideal candidate is comfortable making outbound calls, communicating with business decision-makers, and maintaining organized follow-up activities. Key Responsibilities

Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective customers and businesses

Perform general sales outreach through phone, email, and online prospecting

Identify and qualify new sales opportunities

Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients

Schedule meetings and introductions for senior sales staff

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems

Follow up on leads, inquiries, and marketing campaigns

Research target industries, companies, and contacts

Develop basic product knowledge to effectively communicate company capabilities

Support overall sales and business development initiatives

Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls

Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and/or a sales CRM software

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Prior sales, customer service, or telemarketing experience preferred but not required
