Job Skills / Requirements
Sunstates Security is hiring a Security Account Manager to oversee security operations for a client in the Chicago suburban area. This role is responsible for the daily management of the contract site, including operations, customer service, personnel supervision, and ensuring compliance with all security and safety standards in support of Sunstates Security's goals and expectations.
The position offers a starting salary of $70,000, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, tuition assistance, and additional employee benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
Lead, coordinate, and supervise all Security Officers assigned to the site.
Train, mentor, motivate, and support Security Officers to ensure efficient daily operations and high standards of professionalism, customer service, and ethics.
Provide training on company policies, site procedures, operational guidelines, and required documentation while ensuring consistent policy enforcement.
Manage recruitment and onboarding processes, including interviewing, hiring, training, and ensuring required licensing is completed within designated timelines.
Oversee employee performance through evaluations, coaching, recognition programs, staff development, and corrective action in coordination with regional management.
Promote positive employee relations by building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, resolving concerns, and addressing complaints professionally.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the site and coordinate with the local office as needed.
Maintain training and compliance records, including participation in Sunstates Security's LMS and training platforms.
Review incident and breach reports and conduct investigations to resolve operational issues.
Operations Management
Partner with the Operations Manager to establish site goals and communicate objectives with clients as needed.
Develop and implement action plans to achieve operational and performance goals.
Manage scheduling, staffing, time-off requests, and administrative functions to ensure proper site coverage and compliance with company standards.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure operational excellence and contract compliance.
Perform Quality Assurance reviews through eHub to maintain service standards.
Remain available to respond to site incidents and operational concerns or ensure qualified backup coverage is in place.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to support customer satisfaction and retention.
Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or the military required.
Strong computer and technology skills.
Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership abilities.
Strong analytical, surveillance, and observational skills.
Experience with staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting preferred.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license required.
Valid Security License/PERC Card preferred, if required by state regulations.
Additional Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of management experience in security, law enforcement, or military environments.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Comfortable working with security technology and systems.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including emergency response, special events, and additional shifts as needed.
