Summary As a Investigative Analyst at the GS-1805-13, you will be part of Office of the Inspector General, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will conduct and coordinate investigative analyses involving healthcare, retirement, and program data to identify fraud, waste, abuse, and improper activity; develop investigative leads and analytical findings; and support criminal, civil, and administrative investigations. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate analyses of healthcare, retirement, financial, and program data to identify potential fraud, waste, abuse, or other improper activity affecting Office of Personnel Management (OPM) programs. Conduct investigative data analysis by reviewing financial, criminal, public record, and healthcare information to identify trends, relationships, and indicators of improper activity. Develop investigative leads, subject profiles, link analyses, and data-driven findings to support criminal, civil, and administrative investigations. Compile, evaluate, and present analytical findings in written reports, briefings, spreadsheets, affidavits, and presentations for investigators, attorneys, managers, and external stakeholders. Support investigations by identifying relevant records, coordinating information requests, and assisting with subpoenas, search warrants, interviews, and investigative searches. Collaborate with criminal investigators, forensic auditors, attorneys, program officials, contractors, and other federal or state agencies on investigative and analytical matters. Participate in investigative task forces, special projects, and efforts to improve analytical methods, investigative techniques, and data quality within the Office of Investigations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a U.S. Citizen or National Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Candidates will not be hired based on their race, sex, color, religion, or national origin Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required You will be required to report to an OPM assigned office. This position is not eligible for inclusion in a bargaining unit Qualifications For the GS13: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service (or equivalent) performing all of the following: Conducting criminal or civil investigations involving the collection, analysis, and evaluation of evidence, records, and investigative finding; and Preparing written analytical products such as reports, briefings, spreadsheets, summaries, or presentations to communicate investigative findings or recommendations to investigators, attorneys, managers, or other stakeholders; and Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to obtain, review, and evaluate information supporting investigations and program integrity reviews; and Analyzing data to identify patterns and indicators of fraudulent or improper activity Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 13 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
