Summary You will serve as a FABRIC WORKER LEADER in the Production Resources Department, Temporary Services Shop (Code 990), of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. If selected for San Diego, CA location hourly pay rate range: $35.05 to 40.91. If selected for Kittery, ME location hourly pay rate range: $41.45 to $48.36. Responsibilities You will demonstrate proper work methods. You will pass on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors and getting work started. You will lead Journeyman/Workers/Helpers in Containment Fabrication. You will perform cleanliness requirements for nuclear, radiological contamination work as needed. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To Lead Or Supervise: Determining and developing the fabrication, methods taken, materials needed to create and install, lay out work and equipment used for preparation and construction of radiological and non-radiological barriers and enclosures. Constructing all @types of environmental, temperature, weather, and other health hazardous industrial operation enclosures off hull. Measuring, sketching, and designing the needed enclosure; and identifying penetrations for enclosure installation. Maintaining a current knowledge, and answering questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. * Assuring that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
