Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
This role combines warehouse operations with local driving responsibilities to ensure accurate, timely, and safe delivery and handling of merchandise. You will support daily warehouse activities such as picking, packing, inventory control, and material handling, while also operating company-owned vehicles to deliver and pick up goods from customers and suppliers. The position requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
Operate company-owned vehicles safely to deliver merchandise to and from customers and suppliers.
Load and unload merchandise from vehicles, ensuring accurate handling and placement.
Obtain required signatures on delivery and pick-up tickets and ensure proper documentation for each order.
Follow assigned delivery schedules and complete deliveries on time as planned.
Follow company procedures for reporting accidents and incidents in accordance with established policies.
Pull and check customer orders for accuracy and prepare them for shipment.
Stock merchandise in the proper bin locations and maintain organized storage areas.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
Report any operating problems or maintenance needs on vehicles promptly.
Keep vehicles neat, clean, and presentable for customer-facing use.
Remain courteous, professional, and service-minded in all interactions with customers.
Receive incoming merchandise and verify shipments for accuracy and condition.
Ship outgoing merchandise according to company procedures and customer requirements.
Keep the supervisor informed of shortages, overloads, or damaged merchandise.
Refer customer complaints or issues to the supervisor for resolution.
Attend department and company-wide meetings as requested.
Use RF scanners and other warehouse equipment to support inventory control, picking, packing, and material handling activities.
Perform inventory-related tasks including counting, tracking, and verifying stock levels.
Drive and operate a box truck in a safe and responsible manner.
Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor to support warehouse and delivery operations.
Essential Skills
Previous industrial supply and/or warehouse experience.
Valid driver's license in good standing.
Good driving record with a strong focus on safe vehicle operation.
Ability to operate a sit-down fork truck safely and efficiently.
Experience with inventory control, including counting and verifying stock.
Ability to perform picking, packing, packaging, and material handling tasks.
Capability to operate an RF scanner for inventory and order processing.
Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials up to specified weight limits.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order pulling and documentation.
Ability to follow delivery schedules and meet time commitments.
Effective communication skills to interact professionally with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
Reliability and punctuality to support consistent shift coverage and on-time deliveries.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in an industrial supply environment or similar distribution setting.
Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with multiple priorities.
Ability to follow established safety procedures and company policies.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role in a warehouse and distribution setting with a typical shift of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including a scheduled break period. Work involves both indoor warehouse activities and driving a box truck for local deliveries. You will regularly use equipment such as sit-down fork trucks, RF scanners, and material handling tools. The physical demands are generally considered medium work, which includes exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Daily tasks may involve lifting, reaching, standing, sitting, stooping, and walking for extended periods. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with clear procedures for vehicle maintenance, accident reporting, and warehouse operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
