Job Summary

The Sr Accountant performs monthly close tasks including preparing and booking journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations, and assisting in account analyses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform monthly close tasks including preparing and booking journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations, and assisting in account analyses

Serve as the accounting owner of several corporate departments and conduct monthly meetings with functional leads to assess budget to actual performance

Initiate and lead special projects for process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance

Act as a liaison to segment controllers

Assist with company implementation of new accounting and reporting requirements

Identify complex accounting issues, research solutions, and prepare resolutions

Provide accounting support for special transactions

Interact with independent public accountants on accounting and reporting matters

Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls

Support the Corporate Accounting Department with ad hoc requests

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting

CPA strongly preferred

3-5 years of experience - public accounting and/or GL accounting experience strongly preferred

Public company experience preferred

Action oriented; thrives in a dynamic environment; takes initiative to identify and resolve issues

Precise, deadline-driven team member with strong organizational and project management skills

Strong analytical skills; strategic thinker

High level of proficiency in Excel to perform spreadsheet and financial analysis

JD Edwards, OneStream, and ASC 842 Lease Accounting experience a plus

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers

Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of time

Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence

Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur

Work Environment:

Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting and requires in-person presence
