Immediate DATA CENTER TECHNICIAN job opportunity available ($30-65/hr)

Job Description

Join a specialized electrical construction team supporting large-scale data center projects in Northern Virginia. In this role, you install and commission critical infrastructure, including server racks, cable tray systems, conduit, and fiber and copper cabling, while working in both non-energized and energized environments. You contribute directly to building high-availability facilities by performing precise installations, adhering to safety and quality standards, and collaborating with field teams at various electrician levels. Pay Rate: $20-30/hr based on experience

Shift: 6am-2pm Monday-Friday

Location: Manassas, VA

Responsibilities

Install and align server racks and cabinets according to layout drawings and project specifications.

Install cable tray systems, ladder racks, and associated supports to create structured pathways for cabling.

Rough in conduit, sleeves, stub-ups, and pathway systems to support electrical and low-voltage infrastructure.

Pull, dress, route, and support fiber and copper cabling in accordance with standards and best practices.

Install disconnect tap boxes on live busway in a controlled and safe environment while following all safety procedures.

Wear and properly use 40 Cal protective arc-rated suits when performing energized work, as required.

Provide and use personal PPE and basic hand tools needed to perform daily electrical tasks safely and efficiently.

Install grounding and bonding components to ensure system safety and compliance with code requirements.

Perform final terminations under verified de-energized conditions and document work as required.

Verify labeling, torque values, workmanship quality, and code compliance on installed systems.

Maintain safety, cleanliness, and documentation standards required on data center construction sites.

Work Environment

You work on active data center construction sites in Northern Virginia, focusing on the installation of electrical and low-voltage infrastructure in large, mission-critical facilities. The environment includes both non-energized and energized work, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE, including 40 Cal protective arc-rated suits for certain tasks. You regularly work at heights, handle cable tray and conduit systems, and move materials that can weigh up to 50 pounds. The role may involve overtime to meet project deadlines and requires maintaining a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work area at all times.
