Position Title: Manufacturing Associate

This is an excellent foot-in-the-door opportunity for candidates looking to begin or grow a career in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The Manufacturing Associate plays a critical role in sterile drug product manufacturing and will gain valuable hands-on experience working in a cGMP-regulated cleanroom environment. The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for performing aseptic and cleanroom manufacturing operations in compliance with cGMP regulations, regulatory requirements, and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role requires attention to detail, consistency in execution, and a strong commitment to product quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

Perform aseptic manufacturing operations in Grade A, B, C, and D cleanroom environments, including formulation, filtration, filling, and visual inspection

Set up, operate, and clean manufacturing equipment such as vial/syringe fillers, autoclaves, and isolators under sterile conditions

Adhere strictly to gowning procedures and environmental controls to maintain aseptic conditions

Follow batch production records (BPRs), SOPs, and material handling protocols accurately

Support media fills, process validations, and cleanroom qualification activities

Perform room and equipment sanitization in accordance with established cleaning schedules

Complete all required training on time and maintain qualifications for aseptic operations

Accurately document all activities in compliance with cGMP and data integrity requirements

Assist with investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives

Collaborate effectively with Quality, Validation, Engineering, and Technical Services teams

Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures

QualificationsEducation & Experience

High school diploma or GED required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field preferred

Prior experience in sterile or aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing, at least 1 year required

Experience working in a cGMP-regulated environment is highly desirable

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Basic understanding of aseptic technique, cleanroom behavior, and contamination control (training provided)

Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs, batch records, and manufacturing instructions

Comfortable wearing full aseptic gowning (hoods, coveralls, gloves, booties, masks) for extended periods

Strong attention to detail with clear and accurate documentation skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work flexible shifts and weekends based on production needs

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
