All MWEOC staff have emergency assignments and are considered deployed in place. Exercises and activations are planned and unplanned, and may require long hours, nights, weekends and holidays. What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (SYSADMN) responsible for the planning and scheduling installations of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications software. Typical assignments include: Installing, administering, and supporting server and workstation-based applications. Developing, modifying, and testing overall system backup and recovery strategies to ensure readiness and security of classified and unclassified systems. Implementing system software changes, operating system releases and patches to maintain operational status of systems and continuously improve cyber posture. Configuring a wide variety of devices and drivers to ensure compliance and hardening with standards and information security guidelines. Reviewing proposed policy, regulations, and procedural changes to determine impact for various users or workgroups. What else do I need to know?
