We are looking for a Materials Coordinator to support supply chain and inventory operations for a manufacturing environment in Springboro, Ohio. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can balance customer demand, inventory availability, and vendor activity while keeping materials moving efficiently through the business. The person in this role will work across purchasing, inventory control, and order fulfillment, using sound judgment and strong analytical skills to respond quickly to changing priorities. Responsibilities:

Review customer demand and planning data to develop accurate material forecasts and support production needs.

Maintain appropriate inventory and safety stock levels to help prevent shortages, delays, or excess material on hand.

Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on forecasted requirements, inventory position, and operational demand.

Track open orders, supplier commitments, inventory activity, and changing customer needs to keep the supply chain aligned.

Coordinate the movement of materials from receipt through shipment, ensuring incoming and outgoing orders are handled efficiently.

Identify supply or inventory issues early and take timely action to resolve gaps that could affect service or delivery performance.

Use the ERP system to manage material data, monitor transactions, and support daily supply chain activities.

Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to clarify requirements, confirm timelines, and keep orders on schedule.

Requirements - 3+ years of experience in inventory control, materials coordination, purchasing, or a related supply chain role.

Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing or distribution setting.

Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to organize, review, and interpret operational data.

Working knowledge of purchase orders, inventory replenishment, logistics, and supply chain processes.

Ability to assess changing situations quickly and make practical, informed decisions.

Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to ask questions and investigate issues independently.

Understanding of material flow, order management, and shipment coordination across the supply chain.
