Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the FACILITY AND INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST. Responsibilities You will perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on building automation, digital tracking, and machinery health monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electronic sensors, controllers, and communication devices used in automation and monitoring systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring accurate data collection. You will update system software, firmware, and configuration settings as required, maintaining compliance with manufacturer specifications and cybersecurity protocols. You will document maintenance activities, system modifications, and performance metrics, providing detailed reports to management and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) providing technical guidance and assistance on hardware and software issues related to Building Automation Systems, Digital Tracking Systems, or Machinery Health Monitoring Systems. 2) investigating, analyzing, and resolving problems related to the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of these systems; 3) coordinating and consulting on solutions to complex problems on a daily basis, ensuring the systems operate efficiently and effectively; 4) interfacing with maintenance and contractor personnel during the installation of these systems, offering technical support to resolve operational and maintenance challenges; 5) originating and developing plans and specifications for upgrades and modifications to these systems, ensuring they meet evolving operational needs and technological advancements.
