Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler
Job Description
This role focuses on safely and efficiently handling materials in a warehouse environment, including operating stand-up order picker and reach-style forklifts, performing pick/pack and kitting activities, and supporting daily warehouse operations. You will help ensure accurate movement of products, maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, and contribute to a clean, organized, and secure facility.
Responsibilities
Operate materials handling equipment, including stand-up order picker and reach-style forklifts, to move products safely and efficiently.
Load and unload freight from trucks and other vehicles in a timely and accurate manner.
Move product for receipt, picking, packing, and kitting using a handheld barcode scanner.
Check and count freight to verify accuracy of shipments and inventory on a regular basis.
Inspect forklift and other material handling equipment daily and perform minor maintenance as needed to keep equipment in safe working condition.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area to support efficient warehouse operations.
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse by following established procedures and reporting any concerns.
Conduct all operations in a manner that promotes safety and follows all safety guidelines and protocols.
Perform cycle counts to help maintain accurate inventory records.
Complete other warehouse duties and job functions as assigned by leadership.
Essential Skills
At least 6+ months of warehouse experience in pick, pack, and kitting activities.
Ability to perform accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory integrity.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and freight counting.
Ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing tasks.
Basic PC skills for using warehouse systems and handheld devices.
Experience with warehouse packing, pick/pack, kitting, material handling, cycle counts, loading, and unloading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse environment performing material handling activities.
Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and operate equipment responsibly.
Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Comfort working with handheld barcode scanners and basic warehouse technology.
Nice to have: additional forklift experience beyond stand-up order picker and reach-style forklifts.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse environment, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break. The starting pay is $21/hour. You will regularly operate stand-up order picker and reach-style forklifts and use handheld barcode scanners and PCs as part of daily tasks. The role involves frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility. The warehouse emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety, with procedures in place to maintain a secure and orderly workspace.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
