We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-oriented E&I Technician to join our maintenance team. You will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical systems and sophisticated instrumentation. This role requires a specialist who is comfortable with both the precision of electronic calibration and the mechanical rigors of heavy equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Instrumentation: Perform the physical pulling and installation of control valves and pressure regulators, ensuring proper orientation, gasket seating, and bolt torquing.
Process Safety: Execute safe line breaks in accordance with site safety procedures, ensuring piping systems are depressurized and drained before removing instrumentation.
Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors, control panels, transformers, and power distribution systems (up to [e.g., 480V]).
Calibration: Calibrate and test transmitters (pressure, level, flow, temperature) and positioners for control valves.
Control Systems: Diagnose malfunctions in PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and interpret ladder logic to solve operational issues.
Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to OSHA, NFPA 70E (Arc Flash) , and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) standards.
General Mechanical Maintenance: Utilize basic mechanical skills to repair and maintain actuators and rotating equipment. Perform drilling, tapping and basic fabrication of mounting brackets or instrument stands and installing PSV (pressure safety vlaves.
Rigging and Lifting: Basic knowledge of rigging points and hoist operations for the safe removal or heavy valves and motors.

Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring that equipment is restored to optimal working condition
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory
Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree or Technical Certification in E&I or Electrical Apprenticeship preferred.
3+ years of industrial experience. Specific experience in valve shop operations or heavy industrial piping environments is a plus.
Hands-on experience with rigging and lifting equipment for valve removal.
Proficiency with HART communicators and loop calibrators.
Ability to read P&IDs, loop drawings, and electrical schematics.
Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform heavy lifting (up to 35 lbs) associated with valve maintenance.
COMPENSATION
The annual base pay range for this position is $46.97 per hour to 49.91 per hour . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
