You'll play a critical role in financial reporting, project accounting, and analysis-working closely with operations and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities
Own critical aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and post complex journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger
Lead balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving variances
Deliver meaningful financial insights through variance and trend analysis to support business decision-making
Support revenue recognition and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting using percentage-of-completion methodologies on large-scale projects
Partner with leadership on joint venture accounting, including reporting, analysis, and coordination with external partners
Manage and reconcile union-related liabilities and project-specific accounts
Act as a trusted business partner to project teams-providing financial guidance and support to operations
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, insurance, and operations to support key business initiatives
Play a key role in audit readiness, preparing schedules and supporting external audits
Drive process improvements and internal controls enhancements as the organization continues to scale

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction or project-based accounting highly preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting
Proven ability to operate with autonomy while collaborating cross-functionally
Advanced analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards experience a plus) and strong Excel proficiency
Highly motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
