The Contractor is responsible for providing direct end-user support for the applications being supported, including both telephone support and on-site assistance..

-Schedule appointments, meetings, engagements, and set up rooms for meetings or conferences for legal staff.

-Receive and review incoming correspondence and delivers each item to the appropriate AUSA or to other staff based on a knowledge of the duties and functions of the United States Attorney's Office.

-Receive telephone calls and visitors, screening those which can be handled without help.

-Maintain legal and general office files.

-Maintain inventory control records and ordering supplies for legal staff.

-Review, screen, and control incoming mail.

-Use a variety of applications to search and retrieve information necessary to complete assigned tasks: e.g., files located on shared file network.

-Prepare documents for scanning; label files to be scanned, and upload scanned files into various automated systems.

-Create electronic file folders and organize electronic files.

-Assembles legal documents from file material. Separates, screens, selects, assembles, and organizes files and records material for disposition or transfer to records depository in accordance with established policies and procedures.

-Performs docketing duties such as opening, updating and closing cases through use of the automated case tracking system. As necessary, searches database for required information.

-Some physical exertion such as moderate periods of standing; or recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching; pushing supply carts; or recurring lifting (up to 50lbs) of moderately heavy items such as boxes of cases or supplies.

Required Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Must be able to read and follow instructions.

Must be able to understand task, task objectives, and the @context of the task in the litigation support effort as a whole.

Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly (e.g. where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective).

Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills.

Must be knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.

Undergraduate degree preferred. Litigation support experience valued.

*Employees will earn H&W dollars per eligible hour (including vacation and holiday up to 40 hours/week). H&W monies are used to offset the employer's cost of benefits the employee elects into and/or utilizes. Any remaining health and welfare monies after all applicable deductions would be cashed out to the employee on a 1 pay period lag.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Compensation Details:

$16.21
