Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will ensure that the facility's equipment and machines are maintained properly and are in good working condition. You will oversee the facility's maintenance program, identify and analyze equipment or machinery failures, and take corrective actions. You will also provide technical training to operators and other team members, coordinate work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Ensure facility equipment and machines are maintained properly and functioning correctly.
Oversee and manage the facility's maintenance program.
Identify and analyze equipment or machinery failures and take corrective actions.
Provide technical training to operators and other team members.
Coordinate work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling and packaging equipment.
Calibrate equipment and instruments as assigned.
Support all production needs, including leading and assisting on production line changeovers.
Repair and maintain mechanical equipment, such as fillers, case packers, conveyor systems, palletizers, and water purification/filtration systems.
Continuously improve speed and accuracy of product changeovers and preventative maintenance plans.
Maintain housekeeping of all work areas during and after work is performed.
Install and troubleshoot production equipment.
Essential Skills
Proficient in troubleshooting, maintenance techniques, and mechanical systems.
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to change 480v motors.
Preventive maintenance expertise.
Skilled in schematic and blueprint reading.
PLC and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Experience with 3-phase power systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must own personal tools.
Welding skills are a plus but not required.
Ability to work long periods on feet and perform repetitive actions such as bending and stooping.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work.
3 years of manufacturing experience required.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

The facility is non-climate controlled, experiencing high temperatures in the summer and cooler temperatures in the winter. The building is relatively new and clean, having opened in 2020. Fans are available throughout to circulate air. Safety equipment, including steel-toed boots, ear plugs, and safety glasses, is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Concord, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr.
