In this role, you'll be at the center of quality, working alongside engineering and manufacturing to ensure mission-critical components meet the highest aerospace standards. Your work will directly impact performance, safety, and customer trust.
What You'll Own
Precision Programming & Inspection Excellence
Design, program, and refine advanced CMM inspection routines in Camio that keep production moving and quality uncompromised.
Translate complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements into accurate, reliable inspection strategies.
Drive precision across all measurements using cutting-edge tools and best practices.
First Article Leadership
Take full ownership of First Article Inspections (AS9102) -ensuring new and revised parts are validated with confidence.
Build and maintain complete FAI packages, including:
Ballooned drawings
Inspection reports
Supporting documentation
Be the go-to expert for FAI readiness during audits and customer reviews.
Data-Driven Quality Improvement
Analyze inspection data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Partner with engineering and production to solve root causes , not just symptoms.
Lead corrective actions that improve long-term quality and reduce variability.
Cross-Functional Impact
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to:
Improve manufacturability
Optimize inspection efficiency
Strengthen overall product quality
Help shape better processes-not just follow them.
Compliance & Audit Readiness
Ensure full compliance with AS9100, AS9102, NADCAP (as applicable) , and customer standards.
Support internal and external audits with confidence and clarity.
Maintain rigorous control of inspection documentation and calibration practices.
What You Bring
Core Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality-or equivalent hands-on experience
3+ years in aerospace quality/inspection
Proven experience programming CMMs using Camio
Strong command of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and inspection methodologies
Deep understanding of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
Technical Strength
Expertise with precision tools: CMMs, height gauges, calipers, micrometers
Ability to interpret complex aerospace drawings and 3D CAD models
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and quality documentation platforms
Professional Edge
Analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving
Exceptional attention to detail-because microns matter
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving production environment
Bonus Points If You Have
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems
CAD experience (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA)
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification

A CNC aerospace machining environment producing high-tolerance components

Shop floor collaboration (with machines and hardware)
Technical programming and analysis work
Daily use of Camio, CMMs, CAD tools, and ERP systems

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
