As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Reading, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hospitals, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy hospital, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this armed role, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and reliability to every shift while helping create a people-first experience for everyone on site.

Pay Rate: $24.51 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public emergency personnel as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or security-related concerns.

Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report policy violations, hazards, equipment issues, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.

Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site policies, maintaining professional presence, handling required reporting, and supporting security-related responses when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania only.

A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
