Job Title: A&P Mechanic
Job Description
This role focuses on performing heavy maintenance and modifications on CRJ 700 and 900 aircraft, as well as various CRJ and ERJ airframes. You will complete C and D checks, carry out interior modifications on CRJ 700 aircraft to reconfigure seating from 70 to 50 seats, and perform additional modifications while aircraft are in the hangar for heavy checks. All heavy maintenance is done in-house, providing long-term, stable work with no defined end date.
Responsibilities
Perform heavy maintenance, including C and D checks, on CRJ and ERJ aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
Carry out interior modifications on CRJ 700 aircraft to reduce economy seating and expand first and business class seating configurations.
Perform additional aircraft modifications as needed while aircraft are in the hangar for heavy checks.
Conduct engine troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving engine-related issues using appropriate diagnostic methods.
Perform engine blade swaps, component changes, and work on fuel controls and related systems, excluding full engine overhauls.
Carry out airframe and aircraft repairs, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot aircraft systems and components to diagnose and correct mechanical and structural issues.
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance documentation provided on tablets.
Use tablets and digital systems to access maintenance manuals, drawings, and work instructions, and to document completed tasks.
Support both hangar-based heavy maintenance and line maintenance activities as needed.
Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including Part 121 standards where applicable.
Collaborate with other mechanics and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of aircraft checks and modifications.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Work flexible schedules, including various shifts and overtime, while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
Essential Skills
Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an A&P mechanic.
Experience performing heavy maintenance (C and D checks) on aircraft.
Background working on CRJ and/or ERJ aircraft, particularly CRJ 700 and 900 models, is strongly preferred.
Engine maintenance experience, including engine troubleshooting, blade swaps, component changes, and work on fuel controls (excluding full overhauls).
Ability to perform aircraft repair, airframe work, and general aircraft maintenance in a Part 121 or MRO environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills for aircraft systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
Ability to operate and navigate tablets and digital maintenance documentation systems.
Capability to work any day and shift as required by operational needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience on CRJ or ERJ aircraft; experience on other airframes is also acceptable.
Part 121 airline maintenance experience and/or MRO experience is preferred.
Strong assembly and mechanical aptitude for complex aircraft structures and systems.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality in all maintenance activities.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented maintenance environment.
Willingness to work voluntary overtime, with focus on maintaining safety and quality standards.

Work Environment
You will work primarily in a non-climate-controlled hangar environment, with line maintenance duties as needed. The schedule typically consists of either four 10-hour shifts (4x10s) or three 12-hour shifts (3x12s), and you must be able to work any day and shift based on operational requirements. Overtime is voluntary and unlimited, subject to safety and quality considerations. All blueprints and drawings are provided on tablets, so you are expected to be comfortable reading digital prints and operating tablet-based systems. A uniform allowance is provided to support appropriate work attire in the maintenance environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
