A&P Mechanic - Commercial Jet Engines

Location: Fort Myers, FL

Pay: $25-$40 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair on commercial jet engines at our Fort Myers, FL facility. This role is ideal for a skilled aviation professional with strong powerplant experience who values a stable weekday schedule and a safety-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial jet engines

Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and overhaul engine components in accordance with FAA regulations

Read and interpret maintenance manuals, technical data, and service bulletins

Accurately document all maintenance actions and inspections

Ensure compliance with FAA, company, and safety standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Work collaboratively with other mechanics and maintenance personnel

Requirements

Valid A&P License with Powerplant certification required

Proven experience working on commercial jet engines

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and follow technical manuals and FAA documentation

Familiarity with FAA regulations and maintenance procedures

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a hangar environment

Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with commercial engines

Previous MRO or airline maintenance experience

Inspection Authorization (IA) a plus

borescope experience is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Myers, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
