Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical systems within chiller units in accordance with engineering specifications, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. This role ensures the safe and accurate integration of electrical components such as control panels, motors, sensors, and high-voltage wiring into chiller systems. The position directly supports product quality, safety standards, and production efficiency, contributing to the reliable performance of refrigeration equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform complete electrical wiring of chiller units from start to finish, including routing, cutting, stripping, and terminating wires for both high-voltage and control systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings to guide installation and assembly activities.
Ensure all wiring and electrical installations meet engineering specifications, internal standards, and applicable safety codes.
Mount, secure, and align electrical components such as control panels, motors, relays, contactors, and sensors inside enclosures and on chiller frames.
Verify proper spacing, organization, and strain relief of wiring and components to support safe and efficient operation and maintenance.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble, fasten, and install electrical components and wiring.
Conduct continuity and functional tests on electrical systems using multimeters and other diagnostic tools to validate proper operation.
Identify and correct wiring issues, misconfigurations, loose connections, or faulty components during testing and troubleshooting.
Document and communicate any assembly or wiring issues discovered during testing to support continuous improvement and product reliability.
Follow detailed work instructions, quality procedures, and safety guidelines throughout the assembly and testing process.
Handle and move components and assemblies as needed, including lifting items up to 50 lbs, to support production flow.
Essential Skills
1 or more years of electrical assembly or closely related experience.
Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
Proficiency in cutting, stripping, routing, and terminating wires for high-voltage and control circuits.
Experience installing and connecting electrical components such as motors, relays, contactors, and sensors.
Ability to use multimeters and other diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Strong understanding of basic electrical principles and safe work practices.
Ability to follow detailed engineering specifications, work instructions, and safety codes.
Capability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs as part of daily work activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Post-secondary education in an electrical, technical, or related field, or equivalent related experience.
Hands-on experience with assembly work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Comfort using a variety of hand tools and power tools for electrical assembly tasks.
Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in wiring, component placement, and testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently and within a team.
Ability to work from blueprints and technical documentation with minimal supervision.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
