Job Title: Warehouse Associate - Forklift and Material Handling
Job Description
This role focuses on safely operating forklifts and yard tractors to load, unload, move, and stage products within a refrigerated warehouse environment. You ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, properly documented, damage-free, and shipped on time, while following established procedures and inventory control practices such as FIFO.
Responsibilities
Safely and frequently operate forklifts and yard tractors to move, load, and unload product and materials.
Load and offload trailers in an efficient and safe manner.
Accurately ship products to internal facilities and directly to customers according to shipping instructions.
Ensure all sales orders meet deadlines and are shipped on time.
Verify that inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, free of damage, and handled according to established procedures and company policies.
Apply the FIFO (First In, First Out) system for finished goods, packaging, and raw materials to maintain proper inventory rotation.
Take and record product temperature checks as required.
Ensure all shipping and receiving documents are complete, accurate, and properly filed.
Perform trailer inspections for each inbound and outbound load to verify safety and condition.
Conduct safety checks by chocking trailer tires and installing trailer jacks as needed.
Communicate with drivers and ensure all documents are signed and dated appropriately.
Wrap products, place them in racking, and provide accurate location information to the data entry clerk.
Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and @type of product is loaded and shipped.
Move product to storage locations, stacking and storing items efficiently in appropriate areas.
Wrap orders on pallets for shipment and secure them for transport.
Stage truckloads of pallets being shipped to customers and label them accordingly.
Label every pallet with a pallet tag, verifying product lot codes and quantities.
Complete all required paperwork for every inbound and outbound load accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Skills
Ability to safely and frequently operate forklifts in a warehouse environment.
Ability to operate yard tractors for moving trailers as needed.
2+ years of forklift operating experience.
2+ years of material handling experience.
Experience with inventory handling, loading, and unloading in a warehouse setting.
Ability to follow and apply FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
Ability to work accurately with shipping and receiving documents and paperwork.
Strong attention to detail to ensure shipment accuracy, proper labeling, and damage-free handling.
Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, stacking, wrapping, and moving pallets safely.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a GMP-regulated or food-grade environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with trailer inspection and basic safety procedures such as chocking tires and installing trailer jacks.
Strong communication skills for interacting with drivers and internal team members.
Organizational skills to manage multiple inbound and outbound loads and meet shipping deadlines.

Work Environment
This position works primarily on 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The facility operates as a refrigerated environment, requiring comfort with working in cold conditions. The workplace follows GMP standards, and team members wear hair nets, beard nets where applicable, smocks, steel-toe footwear, and hard hats. The role is hands-on and physically active, involving frequent forklift operation, material handling, and movement throughout the warehouse and loading areas.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
