Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on general warehouse operations for a specialty metal distributor and manufacturer handling extrusions, fittings, pipe, tube, rod and bar, sheet, and plate in stainless steel, aluminum, nickel, titanium, alloy, and carbon steel. You will start with core warehouse duties and progressively cross-train in multiple areas, including mobile equipment operation and basic machine operation, to support a flexible and resilient operation.
Responsibilities
Perform general warehouse and production tasks in a specialty metals environment, including handling extrusions, fittings, pipe, tube, rod/bar, sheet, and plate.
Handle materials safely and efficiently, moving metal products throughout the facility as directed.
Train to operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and side loaders in accordance with safety procedures and company guidelines.
Learn and perform saw operations, including measuring, saw cutting, and basic machine operation for metal processing.
Use a tape measure accurately to measure materials and verify dimensions before cutting or processing.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing orders, loading and unloading materials, and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
Use basic computer skills to enter data, look up information, and support inventory and order processing tasks.
Follow all safety policies and procedures while working in a production and warehouse environment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support safe and smooth operations.
Demonstrate reliability, a positive attitude, and strong trainability while learning new skills and cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse.
Essential Skills
Ability and willingness to work in a general labor and production warehouse environment.
Willingness to train on and operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and side loaders.
Ability to be taught how to read and use a tape measure accurately for measuring materials.
Basic computer skills to support warehouse and production tasks.
Strong reliability, positive attitude, and willingness to learn new skills.
Attention to detail when handling materials, performing measurements, and completing shipping and receiving tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous forklift experience is applicable but not required, as training is available.
Experience with material handling in a warehouse or production environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with saw operation, saw cutting, or machine operating is a plus.
Experience in shipping and receiving or logistics support is advantageous.
Ability to thrive in a cross-training environment and adapt to different tasks as needed.

Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse and production environment focused on specialty metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, nickel, titanium, alloy, and carbon steel products. You will work around material handling equipment such as forklifts and side loaders and use saws and other basic machinery for cutting and processing metal. The role involves physical material handling and standing for extended periods. Training hours run from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with work performed indoors in an industrial facility where safety procedures and appropriate work attire are required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
