Position Description:
CGI is seeking a dynamic individual to work as an Accountant serving NASA clients at Johnson Space Center. Working in a collaborative office environment, the Accountant will work with various financial software systems systems to provide reports and analysis.
This position is located in Houston, Texas.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Familiar with accounting concepts such as: journal entries, general ledgers, debits/credits, reversals, cost accounting, and property accounting.
. Utilizes Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
. Supports the accounting staff and audit process by compiling data from financial systems (including Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) and Business Objects) and source documents from physical files.
. Supports a number of areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reimbursable accounting and audits.
. Prepares financial reports for review by senior accounting personnel.
. Under contractor supervision, must be able to assess products and procedures for compliance with Government accounting standards and principles.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. BS/BA in accounting; or a degree in a related field that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting and 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $46,900.00 - $95,700.00.
