Shift: 1st Shift (Mon-Fri) 5:00am-1:30pm (lunch at 11am-11:30am)
Job Description:
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS (IDENTIFY UP TO 6 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES WITH ASSOCIATED JOB TASKS)
The incumbent will provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing operations, in order to support Manufacturing performance and Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
Assist in implementation of Equipment Preventive and Predictive Schedules based upon Historical Performance and manufacturers suggested maintenance intervals.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications and established PM schedules.
Diagnose problems with machinery/processes by observing, listening, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical devices in operation
Maintains equipment, parts, critical spares, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Maintains electronic records for history of PM's for all manufacturing assets
Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, and communicating to relevant departments
Fabricates repair parts as needed by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Facilities Maintenance
Repair, maintain/monitor all support equipment and amenities
Change of all filters for ventilation as required
Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed
Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Supports Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) performance by informing production workers of routine Total Productive Maintenance(TPM) techniques and monitoring compliance
Continuous improvement of TPM Documentation
LEAN/Safety
Follows Lean methodology for Facilities Department
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Member of Incident Response Team(IRT)
Administration/Continuous Improvement
Assistance with implementation of projects
Assistance in the development of continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, etc.)
Become the primary contact for Manufacturing, regarding equipment and process issues, including (but not limited to) equipment downtime and production of nonconforming material
Systems Maintenance
Control work
Operating Interfaces
Electrical and mechanical systems
Document existing management for Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure
Technical Resource for equipment failure
Determination of root cause failures and alleviation of issues on equipment
Systems Installation
Installation of equipment
Design and manage new equipment, process development, timing, budget, setup, debug, and training.
SOP's for NEW equipment and Systems
Document management for Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure.
Must have:
Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
Must be able to walk, write, and @type on a frequent basis.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt. Work surfaces may include concrete.
Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as required.
Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
