Position Summary...
Help scale Walmart Health Research Institute's (WHRI) ability to deliver inclusive clinical research by leading a portfolio of transformation initiatives from strategy through activation. As Senior Manager, Transformation Portfolio Strategy & Activation, you'll translate priorities into roadmaps, build repeatable operating mechanisms, and drive cross-functional execution across WHRI and the broader Walmart ecosystem. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for a strategic operator who can influence, communicate, and deliver outcomes at pace.
What you'll do...
Oversee Programs End-to-End: Independently lead large projects/programs from definition through execution-setting milestones, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring delivery.
Collaborate Across the Ecosystem: Navigate and partner seamlessly with cross-functional teams-including compliance, legal, marketing, real estate, and senior leadership-to guide decision-making, build capabilities, and mitigate risks.
Monitor Market Trends: Apply a strong foresight orientation to anticipate market shifts. Understand the competitive landscape and use customer feedback to shape future strategies.
Strategize and Implement: Define, design, and achieve our overall strategy by leveraging business frameworks, technology, and an understanding of the biopharma value chain.
Enable and Scale Offerings: Implement all necessary capabilities to support, market, and scale our offerings, including leveraging digital patient engagement tools and innovative clinical trial site models.
What you'll bring...
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs or transformation initiatives with end-to-end ownership.
Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills (ability to build frameworks, synthesize inputs, and recommend paths forward).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort communicating with senior/executive stakeholders.
Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and deliver outcomes with high attention to detail.
Familiarity with technology enablement and scaling capabilities through process + tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Master's degree in public health, business, or related area.
Prior work experience with a sustained record of productivity at a strategic and operational level in the healthcare industry or in closely related health and life sciences fields.
Prior work experience with large and complex end-to-end program management (from ideation to design to delivery).
Prior work experience in portfolio and/or product management with successful design, execution, and scaling of new concepts/ innovations.
Prior work experience in data utilization.
Prior work experience in client-facing roles.
3 years' managerial experience.
Prior work experience in a high-growth environment to build a nascent operational infrastructure.
