Description
RENK America is seeking a highly experienced Purchasing Compliance Manager and Supply Chain data analyst to lead and oversee procurement compliance activities in a U.S. Government Prime Contractor environment. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements across all procurement and supply chain activities, including preparation for CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance within the supply base.
The role will act as the primary authority on procurement compliance matters, serve as the Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO), lead supply chain audits and improvement initiatives, across all RENK Group North America sites and will take over and lead further special assignments. Moreover, this role is accountable to drive analysis, interpretation and structure of supply chain data to derive actionable insights.
Additionally, this position can be tasked with special projects and activities within the procurement organization. This includes but is not limited to: supplier crisis management, representation of procurement managers, acting as procurement project manager, executing continuous improvement initiatives.
Purchase Order Approval Authority:
Reviews and approves purchase orders above established buyer thresholds to ensure that all procurement actions meet internal and regulatory standards. Verifies proper documentation, price analysis, and clause flow-downs before PO release. Confirms compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company procurement policies to maintain a compliant purchasing system.
Supply Chain Data analysis:
Owns material cost calculation for all customer projects. Creates procurement project budgets and tracks its performance. Develops supply chain data-driven insights and leads initiatives to drive data driven decision making. Is accountable for networking capital monitoring and improvement.
FAR & DFARS Compliance Leadership:
Maintains full adherence to FAR, DFARS, and related federal acquisition regulations across procurement operations. Interprets regulatory updates and ensures timely implementation. Leads preparation for CPSR reviews and DCMA Small Business Audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet government expectations. Serves as the primary compliance advisor to supply chain and cross-functional leadership, ensuring correct application of flow-down clauses and documentation standards.
CMMC & Supply Base Cybersecurity Compliance:
Leads implementation of CMMC and NIST 800-171 requirements within the supply base. Ensures cybersecurity-related DFARS clauses such as 252.204-7012 are properly flowed down to suppliers. Coordinates supplier assessments, maintains evidence documentation, and supports supply chain readiness for future CMMC certification. Builds and manages frameworks to track cybersecurity compliance across the supply base.
Regular internal purchase order audits:
Conducts structured regular audits of purchase order files, evaluating competition, price analysis, small-business documentation, clause accuracy, and completeness of procurement records. Identifies gaps or risks, implements corrective actions, and reports audit outcomes to Supply Chain leadership to support continuous process improvement and audit readiness.
Regular training sessions and continuous improvement:
Develops and leads monthly training sessions for procurement staff, covering FAR/DFARS regulatory updates, documentation standards, audit findings, and compliance best practices. Tracks attendance, participation, and knowledge retention to improve staff competency and ensure process adherence.
Employee Development - FAR/DFARS Competency:
Mentors buyers and sourcing professionals to improve proficiency in regulatory compliance. Establishes skill benchmarks, evaluates performance against compliance expectations, and supports individualized development plans that strengthen the organization's regulatory competency and purchasing system health.
New Hire Training Program Development:
Develops, implements, and maintains a standardized onboarding curriculum for new procurement staff. Training includes FAR/DFARS fundamentals, file documentation standards, small-business requirements, cybersecurity compliance expectations, and procurement system navigation. Continuously updates training content based on regulations, audits, and best practices.
Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO):
Serves as RENK America's designated SBLO, ensuring compliance with FAR Part 19 and company small-business subcontracting plans. Maintains accurate reporting in eSRS and other government systems, promotes small-business participation, and interfaces with government representatives on all small-business matters. Supports internal efforts to strengthen the small-business supplier base.
Supply Chain (SC) Audit Leadership:
Leads internal and external supply chain audit activities, including CPSR, DCMA, DCAA, and internal compliance reviews. Prepares and organizes required documentation, coordinates cross-functional responses, and manages corrective action plans through closure. Ensures supply chain maintains strong audit readiness.
Supply Chain Continuous Improvement:
Leads initiatives that strengthen overall supply chain performance by standardizing workflows, improving documentation and data quality, and streamlining procurement and logistics processes. Identifies inefficiencies and drives improvements that enhance accuracy, reduce operational risk, and increase efficiency across all supply chain functions.
Cross-Division Compliance Support:
Provides FAR/DFARS and procurement compliance support to other RENK divisions. Assists with procurement system harmonization, ensures consistent application of policies, and helps cross-divisional teams prepare for audits and regulatory reviews.
Buyer Backup Support:
Provides backup purchasing support during peak workload periods or staffing shortages. Executes Purchase Orders and performs day-to-day procurement activities in full compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Maintains readiness to support tactical buying functions when operational needs arise.
Project procurement activities:
Supports project-related procurement tasks, including managing compliant purchasing actions, tracking project requirements, and providing status reporting and monitoring. Ensures supplier selection, documentation, and sourcing activities align with regulatory, contractual, and schedule commitments.
Special assignments:
Completes high-priority or specialized projects assigned by procurement leadership
Position Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Program Management or related field with 6+ years purchasing experience in an USG (DCMA) environment.
Masters Degree in Supply Chain, Program Management or related field with 4+ years purchasing experience in an USG (DCMA) environment.
Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal subcontracting requirements
Experience leading CPSR audits
Experience implementing DFARS cybersecurity requirements
Demonstrated experience conducting audits and training programs
Demonstrated experience in purchase-to-pay order management and supplier crisis management
Certified SBLO with relevant proven experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), preferrable including Microsoft Copilot
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Must be able to interact well with all levels of management, employees, and vendors.
